Much as I like RJ he's in a select group of three. Himself, Dan Hoke and I think Dave McGinis still takes in a dog now and then.

Dave Mcguiness has been dead along long time.Your thinking of Mike his son,Seen more than one dog supposedly trained by Mike,I wouldn't send one there if YOU were paying the bill.

Wow Wildweeds. That's a first. Never heard a bad word about Mike McGinnis. In fact every pro I've been around has had nothing but good things to say about him.

I am not sure you will ever hear many professionals bash other professionals. Most have too much class for that and let their dog work speak for them.

Do you have good luck running the pup with the prong collar on? Doesnt it restrict him from going into anything tall that could pull the lead? Just wondering as i havent seen that before. Btw, thats a great looking pup, love the markings.

This was a controlled training situation in shorter grasses. I agree, you have to be cognizant of the environment when running with pinch/prongs and dragging the check cord.

Working steady to flush tonight, this was just a head tucked pigeon, but later he pointed a covey of huns he was rock solid at the flush, I released him and he took two steps and locked up again, I walked further and a single flushed, again rock solid. Why could he not do that at his UTP test two weekends ago.
