Dog's color vision

I ran across this article linked in another forum. Interesting. I had always been told dogs see in B&W too.

I was Lways under the impression that they only saw in black and white too.

Yes I am serious. I have never seen reports on any study that has been done on the ability for dogs to see color that showed they could..

I don't know what colour my dog's see, but when I send them out for a retrieve they just keep on truckin till they get there. :D

Many animals see white better than other colors. Is why horsey folk put white tags on the fence so a new horse can see it.

Altho the fences in KY are mostly black :) they say horses see that color better than white even.

I asked my dogs, they said "whats color"? and run off to chase birds....

Mine use their nose to find stuff. Seems to be working.
