I thought I would pass this along. thought it could be helpful to people outside of navhda as well. http://www.navhda.org/INVITATIONALALERT.pdf

Wife works for a vet here on the east coast (MD) and said something about this a couple of weeks ago as something has been going around..trips to the pet stores and such were advised against in the memo she received.

I doubt those dogs are back yet, as the test doesn't even start until Thursday.

This could be like anything else as well. The dogs could go for weeks not showing any sign, then you train with them and YOUR dog gets sick. They were carriers and no one was aware they had anything. I'm taking my two dogs with to the Invitational this week so you know that I'll be watching them very closely. The other thing is that these cases are over an hour away from the Invitational. That allows me to breathe a little easier knowing I'm headed up there.

Those that are going from up here have been asked to keep their dogs off the club ground for a while when they return.
