Re: Tri color GSP pups
I just like the name, not the kennel or the dogs as I have no knowledge of them at all. lol
Sir Frederick Von Flintstone
I like that name
This is what was included with the pedigrees:
Didnt mean for you to "read" something that isnt there. Fred Flintstone, who doesnt know his name?

I have no idea who you are, but you are giving GSP's a negative image.Re: NFC Frozen Semen GSP
Is this a result of the resent yellow GSP's showing up from your breedings? I hear there have been many more from other litters that did not make it because they could not swim....

Look at the January 2013 shorthair journal cover of 2012 NFC trey and there is a third color on his neck.

Re: Tri color GSP pups
Good looking pup. I'd hunt behind it. I'd have it altered if tri's are not allowed in the GSP world. Wouldn't pay $1,000 just because of the color.

If you have seen him run, I like to know where. You need to be very careful in your assertions. I own the dog and would never have a tri color dog in my kennels.GSPnewbie2013 wrote:I have seen trey in person. That is not a shadow!!

He is just a troll, ignore him. He will be booted soon I assume.
Re: Tri color GSP pups
I was on FB this morning, and had joined a group "I Love German Shorthaired Pointers" some time back. This morning there was a photo of a creme colored pup, that maybe has some lemon/tan spots, and the ad said.
"Akc registered German Shorthair pups, ready for Christmas, dam is hunt titled and great blood lines, these pups are a really rare color called Gelber Brand add one of these rare beauties to your family... Call ....."
In looking at the comments, they are asking $1500 a pup.

Re: Tri color GSP pups
Cavapoochons will bring in 3K a pup in California right now. In the wrong biz! "Gelber Brand" is a marking, not a color.wems2371 wrote:I was on FB this morning, and had joined a group "I Love German Shorthaired Pointers" some time back. I sure hope so, we do not need people like him on this forumElkhunter wrote:He is just a troll, ignore him. He will be booted soon I assume.
Re: Tri color GSP pups
The 'tan' colouring is called 'dead sunburnt' and can be common in GSP (especially here in Australia) I have recently bought a lemon and white GSP who has now turned dead sunburnt and white.

Checked out that link, and have the question as to why are there dogs on the page being listed as (Breed: Pointer) Pointer is not a breed, it's a group, tri color GSP's are only of true German breeding where black is an accepted color....

Re: Tri color GSP pups
That's the way all the pointing breeds are listed on GDOL when you place an ad you choose from their list they don't seperate each breed but by pointers, spaniels, retrievers, or hounds.

Pointer is also a group. All pointers are pointers but not all pointers are pointers.ACooper wrote:Pointer is a breed...pointstar wrote:Vonzeppelinkennels wrote:Tri Color GSP Pups! $1000 must be another special color. check out http://www.gundogsonline.com go to pointing puppies 4 sale[/quote

Re: Tri color GSP pups
What do you think of this? It is hard to tell from the picture, but there seems to be some tan in her white spot.

Re: Tri color GSP pups
Not quite the same as a tri, and I don't claim to know the origins or genetics behind it, but someone put up photos of a blue dilute today on "German Shorthaired Pointer" on FB. I'd never seen one, so it seems I'm getting my education on Facebook. Replace the liver color with weimaraner color, and that's what the pup's coloration looked like to me.
