New FT/Hunting dog on the way...

Post by orbirdhunter » Sat Nov 16, 2013 10:39 am

I am very excited, after getting into FT's a couple yrs ago, my wife and I are buying our first FT bred pup.

Getting a shorthair. FC/AFC Foxgloves Dream Chaser X FC Quests top of the Marc.

I get a front row seat to watching a lot of Foxgloves kennel dogs at Trials, using from behind as my dog comes around to back...I have always liked what they are producing. I haven't seen Quests top of the Marc run in person, but he has a good rep as being a strong AA Dog. I am a gundog kinda guy.....
Everyone hopes that the starts align and they really get something special, I am no different. I am hoping at worst I will have a bragging rights chukar dog and a dog that has the talent to be competitive in AKC Gundog if I do my part as trainer.....
Ahh....The eternal hope and optimism of bringing a new one in....

If the dog has a little run, don't write off running in horseback Shooting Dog stakes, too. Good luck. Foxglove produces some lookers.
