Pup and Old Timers Fun

Post by DGFavor » Sat Nov 30, 2013 12:30 am

Been getting my little Bugsy/Sadie pup out quite a bit, had a half dozen or so quickie sharpie finds with her - quick stands then bird in the air stuff. Today had a couple bunches cooperate a bit better. Pretty fun, 5mo. old - she'll get more certain and confident lookin' I'm sure with miles and birds. :D Not sure who the school girl squeekin' and screechin' in the background was...I was out there solo...

Shot a few over the old timers, Stoney and Scoots, today also:

Shot a "nice, clean" double over Scoots - thought I stoned 'em both. He brought this one back first, dropped it a few feet from me and went off after the second - dang bird was still alive and hit the ground runnin'. Caught crappy shot of Scoots going one way, bird goin' the other!

Scoots brought the 2nd one back and it was still alive and runnin' too! Had a bit of a rodeo for a bit but got 'em both in the bag! So much for a clean double!

Boy, you live in some great looking country! What a place to bring a pup along. It would be a hard place for my "old bones" to navigate but it sure looks great.

The young pup continues to be fun - gotta be closing in on 6 months old I think. Today ambling along and got a point signal on Scoots, found him standing:

Then I saw the little pup monster doing the "lion in the grass" thing well out in front of him then she locked into a point:

By the time I spotted her I was too close to get them both in the same frame with the lens I was using so I combined two pics when I got home - freakin' odd couple, 70lb. Scoots and 30lb. pup Zoey:

Little bunch of 4 hungarians sitting right over the edge of the brow of the field - first huns the pup has found/pointed:

Scoots had another cool find on a couple sharpies:

Trixie and Jane got tangled up with a little band of sharpies that did a nice staggered flush in 3 pairs then a last single - had a little trouble gettin' my "gun" on 'em in the low light  :
