Kennel Construction

Post by RichK » Sun Dec 15, 2013 2:13 pm

I am going to build a 8' wide x14' long kennel to house my dogs during the day while I'm away or when I'm working around the yard.

Right now I am planning on building two separate runs with each enclosed area being6'x4' and the outdoor run areas each being 8'x4'. Is this enough room?

The general looking I am going for is similar to below but with two runs and a concrete floor.

What is the recommended material for covering the interior walls to prevent chewing but make it easy to clean?

In my opinion 8 X 4 is kinda small for an outside run. I think I'd make the outside runs a little bigger. Sounds like it is going to be a good kennel set up when you are done.

What would you recommend for the outside run length? 12'?
