This is why prairie hunting is fun,
and this is why I call pheasant hunting in December a LABOR of love.
But I like ruffed grouse hunting more.

The view out my backyard. Not nearly the camera quality as the other pictures on here but this thread needed a snow picture.

Ya know what Doug? If you had a Nikon rather than that Sony you could quit your job and just take picture's! Really great stuff!!! In the first set you posted, where is that third photo taken? One super shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like to work with a handicap!! Actually the Sony has worked great for me, no complaints!
That photo was shot from a nice saddle nestled in a ridge about a 1500ft. "gentle" hike above the boat after about a 50 mile run up into HellsCanyon. May well be my favorite place to go, period - the only bird hunting I knew for the first 20 years of my bird hunting life. Started hiking those hills with my dad and brother at age 10 before I was old enough to actually hunt. Better hunting other places for sure but memories and traditions die hard. Idaho on the left, Oregon on the right.
