How to register AF pup with AKC?

Post by Karen » Mon Jan 27, 2014 8:17 am

I know we've discussed this before, but I can't find it.

What does AKC require to cross register an FSDB registered pointer or setter pup with them?

Thanks!

When I looked into this I remember the requirements were a copy FDSB pedigree (three generation), copy of FDSB regristration papers, AKC applicantion, and fee.

Last time I did it, I followed the requirements for Open registration. I suspect it is still the same.

3 gen FDSB pedigree, two photos, one front one side(can't remember which side), filled out AKC application and required fee.

Done.

What Ray said. It doesn't matter which side you use for your pic. They like a full body frontal and sidal :D so just stack him and use that.
My registrations have always come back within about 10 days.

Can Field Dog Stud Book registered dogs run in AKC trials or must they be dual registered?

They MUST be AKC registered. The rule changed a couple years ago.
