Flushing & Retrieving?

Post by reba » Mon Jan 27, 2014 2:49 pm

I am interested in a small smooth, coated, flushing and retrieving dog. (small 35 pounds)

What are my options. This dog will complement my GSP's.

Thanks

Lots of smaller Lab's around. If it weren't for the smooth coat, a spaniel would nicely fill the bill.

Why not just have the GSP's flush and retrieve?

This would be one of your options in the 25-30 pound smooth-coated class (yes, GH, smoother than a baby's butt - especially when wet)

but as far as "complementing" another gundog with retrieving, could also easily turn into a Boykin relegating the other to the sideline...
