That's two in that area. I was on 83 a mile or two south of Vaughn Loop and a guy lost his pointer pup there in January.

Re: LOST Red Setter Sonoita AZ
Brandy went self hunting ... he was seen a couple times sunday morning the rancher had him for a little bit in the back of his truck and brandy jumped out. he was about 2 miles away about circling the area where the trial was being held.
The hardest part of all of this is the dog also has to want to be found.
I know the owner and he is totally tore up over this.

There are a lot of contacts that will help with Brandy I included I also have some friends closer to the area that are willing to step in to getting Brandy at home with Ray and his wife.
I sure wish NSTRA would rethink allowing us to use tracking collars in the same aspect that AKC and AF allows use of them.

Should be a no-brainer. I have seen plenty of big running NSTRA dogs get lost.kninebirddog wrote:...wish NSTRA would rethink allowing us to use tracking collars...

Also brandy has special needs
Re: LOST Red Setter Sonoita AZ
I am a little surprised the dog has not been found yet ... lots of people in that area. Guess he is not hungry enough yet.
Re: LOST Red Setter Sonoita AZ
If the NSTRA would not approve the Garmin Tracker then the TAGG collar might be a good compromise.

Re: LOST Red Setter Sonoita AZ
The dog has identification and a microchip. So once found the person would be able to track quickly who the owner is. Getting/finding the dog on a large desert ranch area in southern Arizona is the difficulty.

Did they ever find this dog?
