I assume you are getting the puppy from Randy and Vicki. You might want to talk to them to see if they have a naming convention. Many of us French Brittany breeders follow the French naming convention. Each year is assigned a letter, and this is the "J" year. It is for registration purposes only, and obviously you call the dog whatever you would like.

I have a male coming from a friend who is a breeder. His name will be Jake de la Coulant Hanahatchee, Jake of the flowing Hanahatchee, which is a river by his house, and his kennel name.

I like the name "Belle." It is short and sweet and I think it means good looking lady.

I spent some time with Randy and the puppies Saturday. I didn't even think to ask about naming the pup. Names that start with a "J" well that adds at least some direction. :D
Probably will go visit again Randy seemed like a great guy to deal with, and even offered some of his time when training starts with the pup. Now just eight more weeks hopefully it goes by fast!

For we who remember, the ultimate French girl was Bridget Bardot. Look up pictures on google images if needed.

If the Kennel name (breeder's kennel) begins wuth a "B"( eg Bodacious) , you won't do any better than just adding "Bridget" to it.
