gsp containment

Post by lukeoslavia » Sun May 18, 2014 3:00 pm

Hi all, this is my first post so I hope I'm in the right place!
I have a gsp puppy and I'm trying to work out a run And kennel for him. I am planning on using field fencing that is 14 gauge and in 2" by 4" squares. I plan on stacking 2 3' tall rolls on top of each other. Do you think this will work? Or will he make his way out if he wants?

Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest woven over welded fencing, and go with 60 inches tall with hot wire on top if you need it to deter climbing or jumping.
IME the welded fence isn't very study but the woven holds up well.

In my experience if they want to get out they will get out.I had one bend chain link to get out. If I was to build Something now It would be a 6ft tall chain link fence set 3in into a 18' wide 6in deep concrete channel all the way around. That stops the diggers and limits the jumpers all at once.
