Here's JD... as a pup, and now. He turned 2 years old in February. He's not what most people think of when they think of a Lewellin... He can run like the wind and is a big running dog. He'll reach out there 400 to 600 yards at times, but does always keep track of me.

Nice looking dog. 400-600yds doesn't bother me much so long as the dog keep's contact with me.

Beautiful!

Beautiful dog. Amazing how their coat changes with age. My Llewellin just turned 11 mo this week and has those long legs and sure covers a lot of ground. Looking forward to fall hunting season.

I would not have matched them to be the same dog... lots of color on the dog...

Yes, the difference in his coat from when he was a pup until now is amazing...... He's on the slender side, but his hindquarters are like pistons....solid as a rock and he can flat out fly. The amount of ground he can cover in a short time is impressive....saves me a lot of walking!!! He'll make a 600 yard swing, come back around, reach out another 600 yards or so and continue on. His only fault is that he false points... I've figured out when he's pointing trash (or nothing!)......he's much more solid on point and his tail is higher when he's on a Sharptail or Hun.... Better to have some false points than no points at all!!
