It's a double dose of pesticide. I think it's risky . Not something I would do but , I could be wrong.

Would it be any different giving them a flee bath after the hunt in terms of double dosing? I personally inspect after the hunt and treat as necessary but I very rarely have to do that so I think its better then constantly applying when not needed.
Re: flea and tick spray
Anybody tried the new oral flea and tick medication? My vet talked about two different brands one that is given monthly and the other that is given quarterly. A quarterly med sure would be nice.

Where I live it is absolutely needed from May to the first frost for fleas and ticks( 3 kinds), so I give the Advantix 2 once a month , but wouldn't use another product too. Honestly , I haven't see a flea or tick for years since I started using that product.Brazosvalleyvizslas wrote:Would it be any different giving them a flee bath after the hunt in terms of double dosing? I also use advantix 2 and never have found a tick
Re: flea and tick spray
Along with oral medication I use a homemade spray of 1 cup of water 2 cups distilled white vinager 2 spoon fulls of vegetable or almond oil and a few spoon fulls of lemon juice. My area is full of ticks in the spring and this has really helped.
