Lab smells bad quick?

Post by BigAl » Sun Jun 29, 2014 5:45 pm

I have had labs for 16 + years, all male all un nutered and while all will have some odor one of my current boys just stinks! The otherale has same diet environment etc but the "stinker" can have a bath and 3 daus later his neck and back reek again.
Any ideas?

Maybe he's part chessie - both of ours stink to high heaven. We learned to live with it - but they aren't allowed on the couch!

First thing I'd check is the collar. If it's leather or nylon, deep six it.

All great ideas we live out on lots of land so they don't wear a collar at all all day they only train with the electric collars when they're working as two ears annal glands or skin conditions I'm familiar yours are clean skin is clear helped aided annal glands they're fine had an old dog with that issue so I know that one too well! :(
I'm afraid that he may just produce that much oil that quickly and I get to live with smell for the next xx years ;)
Other than bathing a couple times a week Solutions are most welcome

Wipe him down daily with plain old fashioned Listerine on a washcloth.
