Getting a new Brit pup!
Getting a new Brit pup!
After an anxious last month and a half, my female Brit is FINALLY starting to show her pregnancy. She was bred in Mid May and she should have pups on the ground in about two weeks. We've been wanting to breed her for a few years now, but could never make it work out. Either the timing sucked with trials, the trainer got sick, or my wife was having a baby. But we finally got the breeding we've been hoping for, and with any luck, we will get a nice healthy litter of trial prospects. Since my wife has a pretty good track record, I will do the prudent thing and let her pick out the pup we keep. Either way, I'm getting a new hunting buddy and possible trial prospect. The litter will be a cross of the current #1 AA and #1 SD Brits in the country, so hopefully we get some decent pups!

Not great Picts, but it's what I have so far.

Re: Getting a new Brit pup!
I just got back from summer camp in SD and have my new pup picked out. The trainer, my wife, and myself all had input with my wife getting the final say. She should be home sometime in Oct. We ended up with 4 roanies, and two mostly white dogs. That suprised me until I remembered one of the dogs on both sides was a dark roanie. We ended up keeping the lightest roan female. I can't wait to get her home!
