Hahaha, i'd love to see how people would react to that moose in the back of the truck here in the city where I live. They'd try to have you arrested as a terrorist. Of course they all eat meat, they just want to pretend it grows on trees

Not sure if these will help or hurt you looking at pictures always makes it seem like hunting season is way to far away!

Nice muleys, and that's a darn nice elk. I love your bow setup too, I'd love a carbon, but they haven't put spiral cams on one yet. Where do you call home?

MnTonester, that's awesome to have two dogs of a lifetime. What part of Mn are you in? I'm also from Minnesota, around saint cloud , and heading to bemidji. How do you like hunting grouse with a lab?

Thanks, he is 3 yrs old. Has impressed me with his adaptability, from dove and grouse in Sept, to breakibg ice for geese and ducks in Jan, couldn't ask for more.

That's awesome. I think my next dog is gonna have a beard... Unless my girlie friend decides that I have to get a lab. Either way, I'd be a happy guy. How was training him?

Minneguy, I'm from Duluth and do an occasional day hunt for pheasant around St. Cloud. I've been of the opinion that a lab/flusher finds as many grouse as he loses (flushing them where it's impossible to get a shot, that is), but he's turned into a great pheasant dog. He's a lot of fun to be with no what type of hunting we're doing.

Won't be disappointed. Tell her about the very minimal shedding, if any, near zero maintenance, and they don't smell after being wet, good selling points!

Those are good selling points, although tif she had her way, it wouls be a big chubby dog to cuddle with lol (think biggest mastiff of all time with all kinds of hair). Now, she doesnt know it yet.... But no hunting dog of mine is gonna be a chubbo lol. And truth be told i love the smell of a wet lab especially mixed with the smell of a dead duck haha.
But i like the no shedding, and im itching to have a dog that can hunt all morning, and ride mountain bikes with me all day and then hunt all the next day. I need a dog that has limitless energy. My aussie, god bless him is awesome at short sprint work, but after 3-4 miles he is pooped. I was hoping a dd or gwp(even a wirehaired visla or griff) would have enough energy to keep up all the time.

We saw a up swing in woodcock last year. Your honey hole I'm thinking has to do with all the rain this year. Ground moisture
