For me and The Dog... Always Spayed before the first Heat with the rest of my dogs.
Just had a couple questions on what to expect. How long generally does the bleeding last? Do most people continue with some training during heat cycles or wait until its over? Her attitude seems to change daily (I know I Know its a woman thing) one day she was taking off running next day wont stray 5 feet from me. I slowed down on training considerably.

Heat cycle should last about three weeks. I would still be careful for another week after that. I go on training like nothing happened as long as there is no chance of contact with an intact male.

Her boobs are going to be tender so try to keep her
Out of heavy cover.

First heat cycle at how old?

On a similar subject, I have a brittany that is a little over 15 months old and has not had a heat cycle yet. I was guessing that she would have done this several months ago. Is that correct and if so should we have any concerns?

She is 13 months. Been better last couple days training resumed as per usual. She was a little offside for the first 3-4 days.
