Mud River product...

Post by 10Sam29 » Fri Aug 22, 2014 3:58 pm

Anyone have a problem or concern about a Mud River kennel cover keeping in the heat during the Summer months? I left mine on all year. Didn't see any issues with the dog. I heard it could be a problem.

I do always try to find shade to park in if I'm out about with him and leave the side flaps open for circulation.

Is it insulated? I will put my kennel cover (insulated) on once the temp is getting into the 40s or 50s. If it's in the 50s-70s generally both side and front flaps our wide open. If it's in the 30s-40s, maybe 1 side open, 1 side closed, and front half open. If its in the teens- below zero, I keep it completely closed usually. I think a kennel cover is pretty excesive in the summer... could definitely get pretty warm in there without air flow.

I used Mud River covers year round when I lived in SoCal...I never had an issue but I did have fans on the doors to keep air moving. MR makes great products.
