Well, this isn't a picture of Dad on point like his handsome son, but I'm pretty happy about our first rooster of the season. Robert pointed in thick cover. I walked in not knowing exactly where Robert was. The rooster flushed and when I shot it, he landed on the other side of the irrigation ditch. I had no idea if Robert saw where the bird went, but I called out for him to "fetch it" and I heard him move, but still couldn't see him. Just when I thought we would have to walk all the way back and across the bridge to get on the other side of the ditch, here comes Robert over the top of the berm with the rooster in his mouth! Wet Robert/wet rooster and happy Fran! I love this dog. He's so much fun.

Washington gives us seniors (65 and older) five days to hunt before the regular season opens to everyone. My husband made pheasant scaloppini for dinner.

Stormy looks awesome, Don. Can't wait to see him in person, again.

I took some pictures while training today. This is Breelie, she is Stormy's mother.

This is Cooper he is Stormy's litter mate brother. They will be 1 year old on the 10th of this month.

Wish I had Don's picture taking ability.
