Stainless steel antenna? Reviews??

Post by CCBIRDDOGMAN » Fri Oct 24, 2014 10:20 am

Has anyone here switched to the Tuff skin antennas? I had a broken factory antenna on one of our DC-40's so when I started looking for replacement, I found the tuff skins and ordered 3 of them. Seem way better than the originals but I haven't tested them out yet. Y'all have any good or bad reviews for me on them? Did you notice any distance added? We hunt in pretty open country in Oklahoma so we haven't really had any problem with the originals except the one that broke.

I've got one I need to replace as well, I am curious. There was a topic going on one of thefieldtrialer forum about refurbing collars.

I know someone who automatically replaces the factory with tuff skin. I haven't used them though.

I figured there would be several on this forum that has tried these. Oh well. I have only used them in an area no bigger than an acre or so (yard). I will know how they work in a few weeks though.
