Alfa .22 Starter Pistol Doesn't Fit Powder Loads

In my Alfa the cylinder there is a lip so it doesn't allow for the long powder load to go down all the way. My friend has an Alfa and his doesn't have a lip and it works fine. Same gun, same caliber, different cylinder apparently. Is there a way to buy a new cylinder or I'm also thinking of boring out the cylinder a bit to fit the powder loads - don't think it'll change anything if I do that. You can't find the short primers anywhere in stock for a decent price and the crimps you can barely hear.
