Any of y'all shipped Pigeons?

I have a friend about three hours away that I want to send four Pigeons to, has anyone used the 4 bird economy nest shipping box that Foy's sells for $15? It looks like it would be perfect. Also, is there some crazy charge at the Post office for shipping birds? Obviously I would do next day but just not sure if they have some "extra" charge since it's a live animal.

It will cost some where near 60 or 65 to ship four overnight. At least that is close to what we pay when buying or selling.
