Scare from Stormy
Scare from Stormy
Found a big lump on the right side of his neck. Took him to the vet this morning expecting he was going to have to stay and have it removed. I haven't been away from him since the day I brought him home! Turned out it's a swollen Lymph Gland, phew! Year's ago my GSP Drifter had one and it was malignant. Took it out and they thought they got it all. Sent it for testing and it was malignant, small cell. Three month's later he was gone. Only 5 yrs old. I hate this kind of stuff.
Re: Scare from Stormy
It's been my experience that it is always something with one dog or another.
Took my 14 year old to the vet to day for checkup/ new pain meds. Vet said that except for arthritis/slight murmur , she perfectly healthy. Remarked on her exceptional muscle tone. Glad to get good news and glad you got good new too Don. ( MY GSP went blind at 5 - she was just ready for Championships.)

I had a Champion daughter from DC NFC Pacolet Cheyenne Sam go blind with no warning when she was 7. Have no idea to this day why. There were 7 pups in her litter and all were Champions or Dual Champions. About the only serious problem I ever had with the dogs over the years.Sharon wrote:It's been my experience that it is always something with one dog or another.

No Not a clue. Vet looked at it and checked two more in his chest in front of the leg's. Nothing there. He said keep an eye on it and if it grow's, I'll have to have it taken out. Stormy doesn't seem fazed by it a bit!
Re: Scare from Stormy
Hope your pup's node goes down for you.
Had a lump on my Britt's neck that just kept growing. Eventually had to have it removed...$$$$....why can't we put them on our insurance?!

I'm sure you could if you are willing to pay for it.NEhomer wrote:Hope your pup's node goes down for you.
