last hunt of the year

Post by magspa » Sun Feb 22, 2015 8:43 am

My last hunt was yesterday. Local landowner gave me access to some nice pastures. Had a great time and the dogs did great considering the conditions, there wasnt even any dew on the ground at sunrise with the 30mph winds. Hunted three hours and found 3 coveys, harvested 6birds.

Great photo! Sounds like you finished up strong. I miss dew on the ground, as I also miss seeing ripples on a pond, ground vegetation and buses without chains. Such is life in New England, heck its going to be possibly in the low 30's today before plummeting back to single digits,so we may get some of that black ice everyone keeps talking about.
