I have a 6-7 year old Garmin Astro 220 with the DC30 collar. I got a new puppy a few months ago and would like to buy a collar for her. Questions are as follows:
1) What is the latest collar that will work on the 220? The DC40? DC50? At some point I know the collars don't work on the older Astro 220.
2) You can run different collars, right? In other words have a DC30 on one dog and say, the DC40 on the other?

DC40 is the last for the Aastro 220. As far as I know you can mix and match compatible collars.

I have purchased a couple of dc 40-s off e-bay in the past year. Both worked fine with my Astro 220.
