Not my dog but it's for sale as a GWP with papers. Is this a rare coat common coat or baby got switched at birth?

There are smooth coated wire-hairs if that makes sense.

I've got a smooth coated GWP. Took it in as a rescue dog and found it to be an excellent bird dog. The coat's great, I've only picked up one single cocklebur hunting pheasants.

Same here, well - other than the rescue part. She only seems to pick up beggar lice which are easy in her coat, a steel comb flips them right off. The exception is her scraggly chin beard, it has finer hair and the beggar lice get a little more wound in so they come out with a little hair.
