Kennel Cleaning Question

Post by chwagn11 » Fri May 08, 2015 9:04 am

I recently just built a concrete kennel, and wanted to know the easiest way to clean up dog poop? When the kennel was on sand it was easy just get a little sand with the poop in the shovel, Is there something that works better than a shovel? Because when I use the shovel have the time it just pushes the poop?

Use a two piece scooper set like this

For firm stools, you will be able to kind of get under them and flick them onto the tray part. If the stools are loose or soft, you can scrape them onto the tray. I suggest hosing any residue, and hosing off the scooper when you're finished. A watering can is useful if you don't feel like pulling out the hose. You just want to get any smears up before they bake on the concrete.

I do hose it down afterwards, and use a cleaning product that attaches to the hose. https://www.wysiwash.com/ Thank you for your help. It was an interesting problem I encounter after years of a sand based kennel.
