Those who not tear up are not human.
Re: Memorial Day
Our hearts were broken last week when a 29 year old police officer was shot down by the person she was serving a warrant on. He had a glock with a 50 round drum mag, he was also shot and killed. I cannot understand all the violence, and then the hatred for those that give their all for the rest of us to remain safe. West boro even showed up, they were shielded from view by large white sheets with a blue line on them representing the police. I ask myself, how did we ever get to this place we are at?
I cooked burgers and brats for my Marine nephew, he went into the service so he could get the education he wanted in college, only way was the service, so he went in and became the baddest nephew I have. Now he is out, married with 2 kids and a college graduate with a fine job. He took a gamble, bet on his very life. Sure made him one heck of a man I must say.
Boy scouts went to the cemetery and placed flags on any grave stone had military person. He does this every year, he also wants to join up and serve. His scout camp buddys mom is retireing from the service, she was in the reserves and was sent into the thick 6 times now. Cant say enough about these people that gamble their very life for us. That goes for my Uncles and cousins that served, some died, some are still alive.
