Gun Dog Bob West DVD's are they worth it?

I already have some dvd's but was wondering if the Gun Dog Intermediate and Advanced Pointing DVD's were worth buying.

I don't know if they are worth buying, but there are other pointing breed training plans that I would put my money into. You can Google these titles:

Point! Training the all-season bird dog by James Spencer

POint! by Horace Lytle

Perfect Start. Perfect Finish... Jon and Cindy Hann

HUntsmith DVD Series

* "Training with Mo" ( my favourite)

Training with MO is an example of the West program. Good way to go but I do not know anything about the DVD

I'm a Perfection Kennel fan. The Perfect Start and Perfect Finish have worked great for my dogs and my fosters that I've re-homed to hunting homes. I am also having some success with field trials (and BHU style hunts as well) with my dogs. They are coming up with a new retrieve and gunshy video this summer.

I am speaking on Gun Dog's pointing series DVD's with Bob West, not Bill West's silent training methods.

perfect start and finish is the most complete dvd set on the market in my opinion, well worth the money

Thanks for the replies. I already owned Perfect Start, but Perfect Finish is on the way. I will be ordering Gun Dog's pointing series as well.

I have watched a couple of Bob Wests videos. The ones I watched were pretty simplistic. If you follow perfect start and finish that will probably be all you need. To get the most out of those I would follow up with a clinic at perfection kennel.
