need names of English Springer Spaniel breeders.

Post by jcbuttry8 » Wed Aug 05, 2015 11:28 am

a friend of mine reached out yesterday and said their long time hunting companion passed. He was out of hunting stock and they are interested in finding another springer spaniel in the future to hunt with. He reached out to me in hopes that I might find him a breeder that has hunting stock. So, I figured I'd post here. If you know of anyone breeders please post it for me. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Here's the best ESS breeder I know. He has great field bred dogs that have placed very high at national trials plus they are excellent hunters. The breeders name is Ken Hanson. I realize he is a ways from you but I know he has dogs all over the country. Certainly worth a phone call. Tell him Dakotazeb referred you.

Lots of great ones out there depending on where he'll travel to. I'd look into Sunrise Kennels, Flushing Star Gun Dogs, Royal Kennels, and Salmy Acres Kennels. All producing great hunting and field trial dogs.

Pine Shadows in Brainerd,Mn. and Aberdeen, South Dakota. One of the biggest breeders in The USA. They have been breeding Springers for forty years. Puppies are expensive and the waiting list is generally long. They guarantee the puppy and will take it back for any reason. Very nice dogs from long lines of field bred springers.

+1 Ken is a down to earth guy with great dogs, with titles to boot.

There are some excellent breeders in PA your friend should visit. Tim & Billie Edwards of Fast Track Springers or Janie Haworth of Pheasant Feathers would be a good start.
