Wirehair Pointing Griffon

Post by 33Scout » Sun Sep 13, 2015 12:43 pm

My wife and I have narrowed down the dog that we want to be apart of our family. We have decided on a Wirehair Pointing Griffon. Since I hunt ducks, geese, grouse, woodcock and pheasants a Pointing Griffin just makes since to us. I currently have a Llewellyn Setter and he is a huge part of our family. Does anyone know any information on any breeders in the Upstate Ny area? Thanks

I don't know anyone in that area. Larry who has Aux Lake Kennel produces some awesome WPG and he maybe able to point you to someone closer to you

You could also check with your local NAVHDA chapter, they may know of someone.
Good Luck!

I hunt with a friend who got his WPG from Marshoy Kennels in NY. Dog is phenomenal at pheasant and duck.

I wouldn't necessarily be looking for a breeder that is close to you. I'd be looking for the best breeder and one that is breeding pups that fit with what you want in a WPG. Coat, temperament, size, etc.
