Many of the places I hunt and trial do not have reliable cell service, but for most it is a viable alternative.

A company named Tagg uses your phone and is designed specifically for pets. The good thing is that your dog could be in Florida and you in Cali and it will show location.
I keep getting posts on FB about lost dogs while on Hikes or in vehicle accidents. It seems like a viable product for those situations. You can even track by WI-FI.

My son travels international and tells me nearly all 3rd world countries have much better cell and internet accessibility. So unless you are going to run dogs in Cambodia, you need to look to Garmin/SportDog, and soon Marshall.

Yea...I gotta say I just don't think this thing would have the range for most hunting situations. Most micro-wireless technology is still inside the 500ft mark...and that's the gucci stuff. I watched the video and heard the "100ft" mentioned. Nice idea...just not sure it would work so well in the field.
