DC 40/DC 50 Antenna Compatibility - UPDATE
I've been having issues with my DC 40 setup constantly "losing" the dog (display says "lost communication"). Often times I am running my other dog on the DC 50 collar and have none of the same issues. I updated the software and that helped a little but am still having the issue. I'm wondering if it might be an antenna issue. I have an extra antenna for the DC 50 but not the DC 40 and am wondering if they are compatible? I am wide open to suggestions. Thanks!

So I was able to track this down, and no, the DC 40 and DC 50 antennas are not interchangeable. I ended up ordering an upgraded version of each antenna to put on both of my collars. Hopefully it works. Will post the results on this thread when I get back from the next hunting excursion.

Mystery Solved! Here are a couple of photos of the original antenna. I guess that explains why the unit wasn't working well. Up and running now and functioning great with the new "after market" antennas. It's so nice when things work properly.
