My dog is nearly 16, but she still LOVES to hunt!

Hi All,

I just finished cobbling together a short video of our ancient Weim Souris-Manon in action this past September. She's a bit slower now, but still has the same drive she had as a pup. Enjoy!

Great video! Thanks for sharing. Gives us all that have some older dog's encouragement! Took three GSP's to Kansas a couple of weeks ago. Had a great hunt, and yes, the 12 year old still "LOVES to hunt"

That's awesome! There's just something about old dogs... Lots of love in those miles. Looks like she's still got it, too! Nicely done.

what a good dog!! she looked like she was struggling a little in the water, but look at her run as she worked the field! the victory roll was nice too :lol:

Actually the water retrieve was from a pond in a pasture that the cows walk across most of the summer. So the ground under the water is extremely uneven, it's basically full of craters left by cow hoofs. So that is why she had to sort of pick her way across to get the duck. It would have been more or less impossible for a person to walk over there without falling/crawling.

I really enjoy seeing your beautiful weimaraner. I congratulate you sincerely, that physical fitness is very good for 16 yeas old , still galloping hunting. :D

I have had many weimaraner, doubly so enjoyed your good video.
