Liability Policy

Post by Wa Chukar Hunter » Tue May 03, 2016 9:33 am

Howdy - We have found a camp for summer - but we need to get an insurance rider before they will commit to renting/leasing something to us.

So far no go

Any ideas - it has to be a general liability policy with or without professional liability insurance - that includes horses and dog training.

Thanks

Don't be surprised if and when you find the insurance it costs more than the rent/lease.

Don't be surprised if you have a claim the insurance company does not pay.

Use an independent insurance agent, that will shop for you.

Be certain to have your attorney look over the policy; you will need the attorney if you file a claim and want to collect.

I have no idea, but I would call some people who have put on the same sort of event, or maybe a show dog club or a horse show club and ask who did their insurance for them.

Also, if it would be considered an agricultural event, call the Farm Bureau and see if they would write a policy for you.
