Going to make a trip up into Montatna to try and check out the upland bird hunting. Don't really know where to start.Thinking about Area 7 Miles City, at the Fish & game office. Anybody have any other suggestions? Also dog breeder in the area might
be a good source. I know some dog people from Colorado make dog training trips up to Montana, but I don't know where' Will make a post about the the trip when I get back. Thanks

Re: Montana bird hunting
What do you want to hunt and what time of year? Miles City often has good sharptail numbers but don't know yet about this year. Lewistown is also a good home base. Area biologists are usually helpful, and so are some of the web pages they will likely refer you to. Good luck.
