Tall Timbers

Post by Tom L » Fri Aug 19, 2016 10:15 am

I had posted this on another forum but wanted to give the folks here a heads up.

It was absolutely amazing to see the level of support the field trialing community gave for the up and coming Tall Timbers auction (as much as I see you ladies and gentlemen go back and forth about wild quail in the south east, it was refreshing to see the level of support Tall Timbers received when they reached out to various owners and handlers).

If you have any future breedings planned in the near future you would be hard pressed not to find a dog on this list that should peak your interest.

Two time National Ch. Shadow Oak Bo
National Ch. Connor's EZ Button
National Ch. Lester's Snowatch
National Ch. Miller's Dialing In
National Ch. Whippoorwill Justified
Ch. House's Ring of Fire
Ch. Miller's Happy Jack
Ch. Touch's Adams County
Ch. Touch's Knight Rider
Ch. Touch's White Knight
and the young, rising star
Touch's Smooth Rider

The online auction starts August 29th and ends at the event the evening of Sept. 18th. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AT THE EVENT TO BID! I will post the online auction site once it goes live. Here is a great write up the American Field did on the up and coming event and auction. (thank you Steeple Bell!!!)

Members of the field trial community have donated stud dog services to an auction being held in conjunction with the 19th Annual Kate Ireland Memorial Dinner and Auction September 18. This event is Tall Timbers Research and Land Conservancy’s signature fundraising event benefitting the Tall Timbers Foundation for Tall Timbers’ research and conservation programs.

Each year the auction features an inspiring collection of world class artwork, unparalleled hunting and fishing opportunities, and unique offerings from the Red Hills Region and beyond.

Kate Ireland, her sister Pansy Ireland Poe, and their family have a long history in the Georgia-Florida field trial community. Their family plantations — Ring Oak, Pebble Hill, and Foshalee — are all familiar names, and perhaps some might also remember the 1928 National Free-for-All Champion bitch Ireland’s Greymist, too.

The dinner and auction will be held at Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville, Ga., on Sunday, September 18, beginning at 6:00 p. m. The Five Stand Sporting Shoot will be held on Longpine Plantation in Thomasville on Saturday morning, September 17. Information and registration for both events is available online at talltimbers.org.

The roster of stud dog services offered is quite impressive:

Two time National Ch. Shadow Oak Bo

National Ch. Connor’s E Z Button

National Ch. Lester’s Snowatch

National Ch. Miller’s Dialing In

National Ch. Whippoorwill Justified

Ch. House’s Ring of Fire

Ch. Miller’s Happy Jack

Ch. Touch’s Adams County

Ch. Touch’s Knight Rider

Ch. Touch’s White Knight

And the young, rising star:

Touch’s Smooth Rider.

One does not need to be present to make a live bid at this auction! The online auction closes two days before the event. All online items that are not purchased using the “Buy Now” option will be transferred to the event on September 18 with bidding continuing with the highest online bid — including proxy bids — and bidder for each item. Bids, including bids for LIVE AUCTION items that are only available for bid at the event, may also be placed by proxy by calling/texting Bill Palmer (850) 893-4153 ext 226 or Dale Fuller at (850) 510-2292 prior to the event on September 18.

To receive the complete fundraising packet by mail, or for more information, contact Dale Fuller, Director of Development, by e-mail atdfuller@ttrs.org; or phone (850) 893-4153 x343.
