How do you all carry your Astro or Alpha transmitters while hunting? I use an upland vest and would like to clip it to my vest, and wear a lanyard around my neck so I won't lose it.
Thanks
Bill
Astro or Alpha Transmitter cases, lanyards?
Re: Astro or Alpha Transmitter cases, lanyards?
I don't like things in way of my arms when handling dogs or shooting. I use Coyote Leather holsters for both my Astro and Pro 550.

I find the belt clip that comes with the unit to work quite well. I bought a couple of extras.
I have a lanyard attached with a whistle and after snapping the unit into the clip, I place the whistle in my pocket so I won't lose the unit should it fall off though I've yet to have it fall off.

I use the belt clip and clip it to a loop on the shoulder strap opposite my shooting side. Doesn't interfere with anything there, for me anyways. I can glace at it while still attached, but I usually pop it off the clip and look at it as needed. I've never come close to losing it. You could run a lanyard to the vest for added safety (I may just do that after jinxing myself with this post).

I use the coyote leather holsters also.
