Garmin alpha employee price

Post by Southwind » Sat Nov 05, 2016 8:00 am

Been wanting to upgrade my collars from my Innotek 1600 to a GPS unit. I know the alpha is MAP priced at $799. I have an opportunity to buy one from a dealer at employee price which is more than a 10% discount. Will I find a better unit at a better price? Still struggling with the sticker shock of these things.

For what it's worth, I'd pay twice as much for mine. It has been an incredible piece of technology that I don't feel I could do without.

BUY it.

I also have three collars.

Also get on line with the unit plugged in and make such you have the latest software. Updates are free.

Good stuff.

Couple years ago you could get them for a hundred cheaper online and cabelas matched the price. Looks like everyone is at the same price now. Bought a tt15 to add on and had to update my handheld before it would work.

Apha tt best equipment ever! I have $1000 of innotek junk. My dgtra finally gave up after seven years. The garmin is worth every penny no matter the price.

On one of the Facebook field trial groups, a guy was selling a 320 with 4 collars. Looked new.

I never planned on buying one because of the initial sticker shock to. Figured it was more of a luxury than a necessity. But I was at a NAVHDA test and they had 30% off coupons for Garmin.com. Maybe check with someone you know involved with NAVHDA. Now i couldn't imagine hunting without one.

I have not thought about the price I paid for the Astro since the first time I strapped it to my dog's neck. Won't hunt without it. I personally like the flexibility of having separate GPS and electric collars.

Bought the old 220 for the pointer 8 years ago, now have them all on the deer dogs too.

great equipment especially if you have to hunt near private land (don't like dogs) or busy roads.
