Does anyone have suggestions on a pup transporter?

If it's ground transportation in eastern 1/2 of US---Buckeye Dog Haulers
If flying--United Airlines Freight

Honestly, I prefer air to ground in all but a few circumstances. Depending on the ground transporter's schedule MO to VA might take a week. St Louis to DC is a 2 hour direct flight.

If I can get a direct flight, about the only circumstance that I won't air ship is the pup hitching a ride with a buddy.

A flew a couple dogs into Souix Falls recently. Despite being a small regional airport, by the time that I got my bags and took them to my buddy's truck out front, the baggage guy had fed and watered the dog.

I've picked up puppies at Los Angeles and found the baggage guy either playing with the puppy or cuddling the puppy and giving it kisses.

American, United, and Delta are all great.

Honestly, I would feel way better about the plane than anything else, especially if you're flying as well. Hours in a loud dark dog box trailer? I flew my puppy at 4 months old and had to make a connection in ORD. The pup barked a bit (I could hear him on the way there) but aside from that was no worse for wear. When I got him out in Fargo it was no different than if I had crated him to go out to dinner. He was much quieter on the way back. I flew American, but If I had my druthers I would have shipped him with United PetSafe.

DeltaCargo....pup went from seattle to columbus...night chosen for temps....other than that, no extra concerns.

Driving....depends upon route, time and driver, for me....maybe even the holiday season.
