Black kettle

Post by birdogg42 » Wed Nov 23, 2016 10:29 pm

Anyone been hunting the black kettle? We are headed to Kansas Friday then going to Oklahoma to hunt the black kettle Wednesday. We have never been there and was wondering what the report is?

Thanks mike

I've spent some time out there early this fall. I must say, from what I've seen, (and locals may tell you different) there's a bumper crop of sand burrs. Boot up.

We have sand burs and prickly pear all over here at home. The dogs run on them almost every day. So that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the advice though. Much appreciated.

I was in the area last weekend and did well. Even though the scenting conditions were on their side...!
