Always sorry to hear when someone loses their four legged companion. I know your pain having just went through this 2 months ago. Still tear up when I think about her. Stay strong, remember the good times you had and time will ease the pain.

I'm so sorry Don. Bodie was such a special boy and one of my very favorite dogs. I'll always remember that big powerful run just floating over the sage out east and those spectacular points. Just breath-taking. I remember you saying "Bodie could look stylish taking a sh** in a snow storm". It was the truth too. Such an amazing dog. Been thinking about you all day and hope you're doing alright. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. RIP to one of the great ones.

My gosh Don, how time does fly. I can remember when you got the two of them as pups. He can't have been all that old; health issues? So sorry Don.

He was too young, Don. All of the older members were here when you brought first Squirt and then Bodie home. What happened to him?I just lost my last one and understand how it hurts but we have to remember the smiles they gave us and the times they took our breath away.

You know your friends when they are there to help. That was a awful hike we went on looking for him. I couldn't have done that without you!

So sorry for your loss. One of the best bird dogs I've ever had turns 13 this year. Don't know what I'm going to do when he passes on

If I remember the story correctly Don, didn't you get those pups for your son, he couldn't take them and you ended up with them by default? Sometimes things just work out for the best.

Don,
There's nothing I can say to ease your pain, but from my observation of several years on this forum, he was blessed with as good a human as you were with such a fine dog.

Don -
Great photos of Bodie! I love the eyes, both as an adult and as a puppy. They look right through you... no fear, no hesitation, just trust. Awesome.
They are never with us long enough...but if we are lucky they leave us memories that last a lifetime.
Take care. Bust 'em up Bodie!
