I don't have much experience in lab bloodlines but some good bloodline names to look out for would be helpful as well

Labradors, generally are not line bred. Although there are some popular studs (Lean Mac, Grady, Ali, Barracuda Blue, Chopper etc...)

Scott Bodamer occasionally has pups. Located around Tonganoxie.
Greg Nelson is a trainer out of Plattsburgh Mo and raises a litter sometimes.
Both may also know of other quality litters.

Also check out Castile Creek Kennel and K and L Kennels. Both within an hour of KC.

I forgot about Double TT British Lab Kennel out of Sylvia KS. All mentioned have good reputations.

That last referral's a good one, but you're considering a British Lab you also might want to go up the road a ways into 'Husker Country and see USAF Maj. (Ret.) Bud Clouse at Dublem Gundogs https://sites.google.com/site/dublemgundogs/

My last lab pup came out of Missouri (Buck Creek Kennels) close to Kansas City. Al Nelson is a great guy. Someone mentioned his son above (Greg Nelson). They always have very well bred litters, but only 1 or 2 a year. I am picking up a pup around March 1st from Ed Rolling in Winchester, KS. Go to these websites for more breeders: http://www.retrievertraining.net/forums ... 0a95164c74
