He's right forums are dead/dieing, easier and better ways to do things. I'm sure this one not far behind. After the demise of perfect pedigrees the writing is on the wall.

Facebook is killing the forums unfortunately. Seen a lot of nice communities turn into ghost towns the past couple years.

The same thing is happening here. F.B. is where many folk go now causing the gradual death of a few gundog and fishing forums. I don't do F.B. I don't like the format and I think a beginner would find it harder to learn from F.B. but that is the way things are going.
I am watching the death throes of a gundog forum on this side of the pond . Nobody has contributed for about 6 weeks now.

Keep up with the times ya auld bugger
You may not like the format, but then change is not always bad ...The forums you speak are controlled and influenced by a select few. FB can and is controlled by You ! ..that's why it works . (allowing it to control You is where it goes wrong for many) ..Anyhow, You would probably be soon blocked for telling the truth and You don't have any friends anyway  ..

It's also free to run a Facebook group, maintaining forums is a thankless job can cost time and money
