I need to go ahead and buy a crate for my Brittany and dont want to get one she will out grow. I am using a smaller on right now that I already had on hand. Can I get some feedback on what brand and size crates some of you use for your Brittany?

I have a medium sized Pet Porter that I use for my Brittany, and it fits him well. He's about 30- 35 lbs. I've also on occasion seen my 50 lb Weim go in there curl up to nap. I think the dimensions are roughly 32 x 18 x 25.

After a few broken doors and some trashed pads I settled on Rough Tuff Intermidiate with a Mud River pad for my 65lb GSP, I'm sure a Brittany would be good in the next size down. Nice product and should last as long as you have the dog. They do have extra parts available so you don't have to trash the whole thing if a door latch breaks. They also have one that has a side door so it fits nicely in my small SUV as well as my truck.

I've had Brittanys for over 20 years and I've always used the Intermediate size crates. Small enough yet allows the dog some room to move around. If you can afford them the Ruff Tough kennels are hard to beat.

I have a Ruff Tough for my 45lb Brittany size Intermediate - 30.5"x20"x22.5". Works great! If you go that route, the USA manufacturer actually has the best price most of the time. There are a lot of nice options you can get on them as well.

Intermediate Ruff tough is what I use.

The ruff tough is what i was looking at. Cabela's has it for $167 now. What is the web site you are taling about?

Thanks everyone for your feedback. With my military discount I got it at Cabelas for $172 tax title license out the door.

That is a great price for that crate!

Thanks for your service and also for the heads up about the military discount at Cabelas. I wasn't aware of that. Just finished going on line and signing up for mine.
