Help wanted

Post by Sharon » Wed Nov 15, 2017 3:47 pm

As you know many of us are struggling to post pics that are effective.
I'm no computer expert , but we would like to perhaps post a stickie under the FAQ tab listing the steps for a free site that works for you.

This is a call out to any wise computer folk on here. PM me if we can work on this. Thanks.

To be honest since photo bucket went hair wire ,I haven't posted any pics on here.
That may be a relief to many
I had some cracking ones of a Pointer retrieving after being steady on a flush and a shot .

I use imgur. It's really simple, free and fast. The thing is to edit the size of the pic before saving
it to imgur if you're gonna post it.

Set to pixels in your photo editing program, make the highest Hor/Ver value 700.

OK...so I took my original pic and copied it. I then looked under "Open", used the "Microsoft Office Picture Manager" (top of page), then looked under "Picture" and clicked on "Resize". Not sure it does what is required? Anyone else try this?

Took this pic to 70% of original. Does this meet the requirements?

They're still too big Ffinder.

Switch to pixels and set it no higher than 700.

Closer but no blue ribbon. :) It should be about 800 by 700. When we look at any pic here we should be able to see the whole thing easily .

example for size: ( I've only been able to learn how to post the link and not the actual picture. Working on it.)

Darn....I have to get past this. OK...how about this one?
The dog in this pic is now 13 1/2 years old - couch potato. I will never again have her equal.

Yeah, he's a beauty like yours.

A setter on point with that beautiful tail flagging his location is a sight to see~

I use Imgur too. Rally easy to use, no need normally to resize anything. Click on the photo you want and it come's up alone with a list of thing's to do on the right. Go down to BBC Code and click copy. Come over here and right click where you want the photo then normal click on paste! Easy!!!
