When do GSP’s typically stop growing?

Post by PoorMansWrangler » Tue Mar 20, 2018 5:54 pm

Hi guys, I just had a question about what size my GSP pup will be fully grown. Right now he is currently 7 months old, and I estimate him at around 60 pounds. Back in November when he was last weighed, he weighed 45 pounds. Any idea on when he will even out, and what height and weight I can expect out of him? He is currently about a little above my knee height wise, I am 6’2. Thank you!

They usually have most of their hight by one, and most of there weight and muscle by 2. Some will continue to change a little after that

I was told by the breeder they are bred to the German standard. I have another pic from the side that I am trying to get uploaded, just says it’s too big

Beautiful GSP. Weight looks good. At two years they should be full grown. Then comes the muscle.

Showing a little rib is much better than fat!!!

He looks like my DK’s. 70-80 pound range.

Breeder said he expects him to be 80-95 pound range, based on parents. He’s a great pup, stubborn but very pleasant to be around in the house

Interesting read above. My vet says my dogs are fully grown at one year.
