2 hunting dogs in the household?

Does anyone have two hunting dogs in their family, specifically one pointing and one flushing?

No. I like to train my dogs with some level of skill and focus. I am certain there are many who possess more of both than do I. However, while I'm pretty decent with pointing dogs, the time and effort it would take me to learn how to train a whole new type of dog to a high level would detract from my pointing dogs. I will say that spaniels are cute. However..

One pointer, one flusher, and one that does a little of both depending on who he's hunting with.

I have an english setter, black lab, and brittany in my home now. My lab is almost 14 and she is now retired. My brittany is 4 months old so it won't be long before I'm down to two hunting dogs in the house. For years I hunted my english setter and lab together and that combination was FANTASTIC. The two were very effective and I am going miss that combination.

over the years have had two dogs in the house; overlapping with about a six to eight year gap in ages. Springer/Lab, Lab/Poodle

The poodle does this flash point if that count as a pointer
